" Hello and welcome to our studio. This is Aneree.
Studio A’17 was formed out of the little nuggets of wisdom that I picked up over years of working at various reputable design firms. In 2016, when I was at my lowest point ailing in the hospital with multiple fractures, I got my first big break. At the most unexpected moment in my career, I accepted my first ever independent project! Ever since then, the studio has never looked back - building upon every opportunity, valuing the process of collaboration, and making sure to go the extra mile every single time…"

Aneree leads the studio with a fun and personable energy, and a passion for delivering enriching experiences through design. Her warm and interactive style of communication motivates better conversations, helping clients build clarity about their needs, desires and vision.
Here’s a fun fact, Studio A’17 was so named because her surname Satra literally means the number 17! After working for more than 5 years in the AEC industry and building a multi-faceted portfolio of experience, Aneree decided to amalgamate the best of her learnings into Studio A’17. With attention to detail at the smallest level, her pragmatic designs seek to steadily influence the experiences of the end-user in a positive way.
An advocate of continuous learning, Aneree has participated in workshops on various topics including design thinking, construction management, vernacular architecture; and undergone hands-on training in materials including bamboo, siporex and mud. At heart, she loves being around artisans and craftsmen, who according to her are the epitome of technique and process.
“If you are open to learning, there are opportunities to learn from everyone and everything. So, if you ever feel short of something in your work, just start collaborating! Every time you don’t know something, you don’t have to run back to school. The beauty of collaboration is that we can build something better together.”
With a special passion for home design, she also creates lifestyle products like lights, serving trays, table mats, coasters, art pieces, resin art; because small details can combine to form greater experiences.
In her free time, Aneree is busy exploring digital photography, painting, reading and travelling. She is happiest with her head in the clouds, feet on the ground, and a true crime travel podcast in her ears! She has travelled to different parts of India to study local art, culture and architecture; and met various Indian and international architects to closely understand their practices and approaches.
